Seacliff Community Kindergarten

The Seacliff Kindergarten project focused on reimagining the existing outdoor play environment to create a more engaging, cohesive and active space for children. Working closely with the site’s established landscape elements, the design sought to enhance natural features while improving usability, flow and play opportunities.

DESIGN INTENT

The brief centred on opening up the existing play space to encourage movement, exploration and social connection. Respecting the mature trees and established garden areas, the design carefully balanced preservation with renewal — introducing new play elements that integrate seamlessly with the natural setting.

KEY FEATURES

A series of interactive play zones were introduced, including a mini trampoline, water play area, sandpit, and a rock amphitheatre for gathering and performance. Undercover play areas extend usability throughout the seasons, providing shade and weather protection without compromising openness or visibility.
